Year 2008 Happenings 

16.11.

Today we participated with Kevin to his first Baby-Show, at Helsinki Kaapelitehdas. As it was his first Babyshow, we were just feeling the atmosphere :). Kevin showed his brave-sides, his interest-sides towars other dogs and new situation and his relaxing-sides as well. The best of the day, I loved his character to coop and the capacity to take relax, while everything else was going on, beside and around of him. By beeing only englishsetter at ring, he got result 1. I am very happy with it :). We had a great day of "feeling the air"- at showplace.

Kevin will have his own dogshow-sites soon, with photos and judge statements...

14.9.

Just some home news of boys:). Kevin got his last puppy vaccination on this weeks Monday. By vetenarian words he is very well balanced overall, with good bone and muscle growth, and he is growing up nicely at his age. Kevin is now about 46-47 cm tall and weights 12,5 kg. Kevin has learned a lot and learns everyday more. His very active (in positive meens) and he also loves to be tendered and caressed a lot. Coco and Kevin comes along very well. They are true playmates together :).

Photos of Boys....are coming up soon...We have just enjoyed our lives these past weeks :). Normal homelife together :):)

New photos of Aku & Hemmo at their site. Both pups are dewormed, vaccinated, healthy with vetenarian statement and they are microshiped.

My beloved Kidi´s Breeder Pirita Ekholm from Kennel Piretas came to visit us. We also took two photos of Kevin at stack. Saddly my cameras battery went off right away. But this one of the two pictures we got of him at stack.

Yesterday evening Kevin came to his new home. We Travelled 950 km with Coco to pick him up. He has adjusted very well at our home. Coco wondered this little pup at first but started to play with him today. Photos coming up soon :)

Last weekend we participated with Coco to World Winner Dog Show in Sweden. Coco got excellent from quality and he was amongst 6 best males in open class, at age of 2½ years old.

Today we went to Terrisuo to train yesterdays lessons. It was lot of fun :).

Today we began our obidience training, organized by Uudenmaan Kanakoiraharrastajat ry, in Terrisuo Tuusula. We had a small and a very nice group of five. 3 englishsetters and 2 irishsetters. Will meet again next Monday. And we are already anxiously waiting for it :)

4 beautiful and healthy pups was born (3+1). Pimu (Blue Baltic´s Surfn´Malibu) and all pups are doing very well. Photos and more information coming up soon at puppies-site.

7. -10.5.

We opened our summercottage place at Lake Puula. As we arrived closer to our cottage, Coco stayed hardly at "his trousers". He obviously remembered where we were heading to. He has enjoyed running free, sometimes really more than free on my behalf... and chasing for example butterflyes, or just taking feet under...after "Kuikka-pariskunta". He was listening carefully and ...so carefully, for So many bird voices around. Hopefully the weather will turn to better during the weekend.

Coco is recovering very well... And he has his "fifth gear" back :) Picture taken at our home-yard.

27.4. 

A few weeks ago Coco was injured but it is still a mystery where, when and how he got hurt? During time I felt a small swelling in his right upper chest that kept slowly growing. We went to see vetenary. Vet took 5 biopsie samples of the swelling to be sent to pathologist to be analysed.

This week Tuesday we went to removal surgery of the swelling and by that time pathologist report was ready. From the samples results it was obvious that swelling was caused by some trauma, for example hitting to something hard. Samples included only peripheral blood cells and some active macrophagus cells.

During the surgery vetenary found out that Cocos skin was ruptured apart from the under tissue by leaving a empty space in between. Vetenarys guess was that Coco has been stayed momentarily attached to something while the hit, that has streched his skin and caused the rupture. The empty "pocket" has started to fill up with blood. The removed swelling was sent to pathologist to be analysed. Still waiting for last report.

Coco got a tube under the skin so blood could drop out by means of pressure pandages. Friday evening the tube was removed.

During weekend the empty pocket started to collect fluids again. So today we are going to the vet to let fluids drop out. Hopefully the recovering will continue then.

Otherwise Coco is doing well and he has been very brave and so sweet :)

Pimu was ultra scanned today and she is in whelp. Vetenarian saw 4 to 6 puppies at Pimu´s tummy. Puppies are expected to due during week 21, in May 2008.

Almost a week ago we moved back to Helsinki-home. We are enjoying our stay at our own homeyard and jogging, while all snow has dried out and sun is shining :) We have registerated and joined as a member to Uudenmaan kanakoiraharrastajat ry, and hopefully we can join to their field training during this summer. It´s nice to be back at home again :)

20.3. 

Happy Breeding News!!

"Pimu" was succesfully bred with "Coco" and Full American line- English setter puppies are expected to be born in May 2008. More information at Puppies-site.

 

1.3.

We came back from Helsinki. We spent about one week there, in the middle of true Spring sunshine without any snowflakes at the ground. Coco was so happy to run and jog again in deep snow, as we came back to Kuopio.

21.2.

Today we where (I was) very brave to step at ICEd-Kallavesi-Lake... to jog with Coco. Weather was ok and all arounding sights was just so beautiful! Amazing!! Well Coco was interested to find ice fishermansholes to seek for and to put his head deep down to it ;) First time at open ice-lake :) He is so adorable one!!! ;)

10.2.

Today we participated to Match Show, here in Kuopio. Our long and so long waiting time at show place, was rewarded. Coco got red ribbon from first round. From second round, Best Adult- category of red ribbons, he was placed to be third :).

At Match Show, Coco met also his favorite play-mate bitches... Amanda (Flatcoated Retviever) and Nella (his half-sister). And of course his special- Pal... Saul :). Thank you Jaana for persuading me to partcipate to todays match show :). It was so nice to meet you all.

8.- 9.2.

We had a little visitor from Kontiolahti during Friday and Saturday. Coco´s cousin, sweet Jason arrived to Kuopio to keep company for us. Boys had great time together and Jason was so pleased to play with all Coco´s toys that he found at Coco´s toy-box :) Thank you Kaisa & Jason for visiting us, you are welcomed to our home anytime... Hope to see you soon again :)

1. -2.2.

We travelled to Joensuu city, Kontiolahti, to meet Coco´s half-brother Leo (Yavanna´s Kariya Cenhamn) and Coco´s cousin Jason (Set´r Ridge´s Sensation at Cenhamn). We had a very pleasant trip. The Queen of whole trip and my personal hero, who touch deeply my heart, was gorgeus Roona (Misty Meadow´s Prairie Rose), my beloved Camu´s dam. Thank You Kaisa & Kimmo again for your superb hospitality and for so enjoyable time together.

 

27.1.

Coco 2 years old today. As a gift he got a big bone. He walked around the apartement bone in his mouth several minutes just to show his great bone before he started to eat it ;). He was so happy :)

16.1.

Today we went to meet Coco´s half-sister adorable Nella, PrerianWithita, and their 5 months old sweet flatcoated retwiever Amanda. We went to dogpark to play, here in Kuopio. Lot´s of fun. Saddly weather was icy and wet! But super fun to meet Coco´s relatives and to get know better Jaana and her family. Thank You Jaana for a great dog-meeting :)

11.-12.1.

Breeder Kaisa Partanen from Kennel Cenhamn´s visited us and we took couple new pictures of Coco. Coming up later on at Coco´s photo page :). Thank You Kaisa again for all your great advices and for A very great evening.

By now, as almost one week has gone since we moved to Kuopio, Coco has adjusted to all new sounds and noises coming from the building that we stay at. And he doens´t mind about them anymore that much :). During this first week we have found some extraordinary wood-jogging-paths to jog for :)

5.1.

Today we moved to Kuopio-City, to Särkiniemi-area, about 500 km to North from Helsinki-City.
